Western National seeks a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills to fill a full-time, Commercial Lines Underwriting Support position, in both our Edina and Seattle offices. This individual will rate, update, and revise policies as needed, email quotes to agents, and assist underwriters in rating procedures and premium determination.

Requirements include a college degree or equivalent experience, strong data entry skills, PC knowledge, the ability to work well in a team setting or independently as needed, and the ability to meet required deadlines. Previous insurance industry experience and the willingness to pursue insurance education are preferred.

Western National Insurance Company seeks an experienced insurance professional with extensive product knowledge for this very specialized position in our Research and Development Department.

This individual will create forms for coverages as provided by our Commercial and Personal Lines Departments; compare our coverage forms with those used by other companies as well as interpret forms and coverages as needed; use a number of websites on a regular basis to research rules governing multistate requirements for forms.

Requirements include a college degree and 10 years of related P&C insurance experience with the ability to work independently. PC knowledge is a must with particular proficiency in word, excel and access. CPCU designation and specific experience with P&C filings, as well as knowledge of ISO Net, AAIS Direct and Westlaw, a plus.
