Age-of-Systems Discount

If your home is less than 10 years old, you may be eligible for a discount on your Homeowner's or Condo-owner's policy. (Eligibility varies by state.) Western National applies the discount based upon the age of plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems of your home. If the following work has been completed with a 10-year period by a competent contractor and it conforms to local code requirements, then the earliest year in which any one of the utility systems has been updated determines the discount rate:

• Plumbing - New water supply lines throughout the house as well as all new plumbing fixtures and components
• Electrical - A replaced circuit breaker or fuse panel, wiring, and electrical fixtures and components, and upgrade of amps to meet modern household demands
• Heating and Cooling - A new furnace or replaced furnace burners, heat exchangers, and blower motor, and (if centrally air-conditioned) a new air-conditioning unit or replaced air-conditioning compressors
