Western National Insurance Group Completes Affiliation with Wisconsin American
(Minneapolis, Minn.) Western National Insurance Group today announced that it has met all regulatory and legal steps to finalize its affiliation with Wisconsin American Mutual Insurance Company of Fond du Lac, Wisc. Wisconsin American will continue to operate as a separate entity, with local management provided by James Herrick. Dennis Ballinger, senior vice president of Western National, has assumed the role of liaison to Wisconsin American to ensure appropriate support and sharing of resources.
“We are looking forward to working with Wisconsin American’s fine staff and their independent agency partners as we grow the group’s presence in Wisconsin,” said Stuart Henderson, president and chief executive officer of Western National. “The financial support and economies of scale provided by this affiliation positions our group of companies well to increase profit and so enhance stability for our mutual policyholders.”
Western National anticipates, following review, a financial rating upgrade for Wisconsin American to reflect the group’s pooled A (Excellent) rating from A.M. Best Co.
