Ruth Lunde Joins Western National Insurance Group
Western National Insurance Group announced that Ruth Lunde has joined the Mutual company as Manager of Application Development - Information Technology, effective today.
Ruth is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (Bachelor of Arts) and University of St. Thomas (Master of Business Administration). She started her career at Western Life as an Application Developer in 1975, after which time she moved into management and eventually became the Vice President of Information Technology of Western Life/Fortis. While at Western Life, she assumed product-line responsibility for a $50 million business unit along with management accountability for Product Development, Underwriting, Claims and Customer Service. Prior to joining Western National, she was an IT Senior Manager at Delta Dental Plan of Minnesota/DeCare.

Western National Mutual Insurance Company (with headquarters in Edina, Minnesota) currently offers insurance products in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Western National Assurance Company (with offices in Seattle, Washington) currently offers insurance products in the states of Washington and Oregon. The company distributes its insurance products solely via the Independent Agency distribution system.
