Western National Adopting PFAS Exclusion Effective January 1, 2025

Western National will be adopting an ISO based exclusion for all commercial lines of business for new business with effective dates of January 1, 2025, and later and for renewal business with effective dates of March 1, 2025, and later.

This new mandatory endorsement excludes coverage for bodily injury, property damage, and personal and advertising injury related exposures associated with perfluoroalkyl or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This includes any loss, cost, or expense arising out of abating, testing for, monitoring, cleaning up, or other related activities of PFAS by any policyholder. Policyholders are being informed of this exclusion via their policyholder notice.
