In October, Western National donated a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox from our fleet to the National Insurance Crime Bureau. The vehicle will be used by the Minnesota Commerce Fraud Bureau for the purpose of investigating auto and insurance-related crimes.
On Thursday, October 24, a team of our employees volunteered at The Food Group. It was a busy and productive afternoon with the team packing 96 boxes of food and packaging 1,200 pounds of rice.
In June, our employees volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, helping pack food to be sent to Uganda. In total, 97 boxes of food were packed during the session, equaling 20,952 meals that will feed 57 kids for an entire year. Western National also made a $500 donation to Feed My Starving Children.
On Tuesday, October 29, a group of 18 Western National employees headed to the Bridging warehouse in Bloomington, Minnesota, to participate in a dresser build volunteer event. That afternoon, our group of employee volunteers built a total of 20 dressers—two more than what was expected!
In September, we welcomed our Agency Sales Team from across our Group for our inaugural Sales and Underwriting Conference, and we also welcomed our Loss Control Team for our annual Loss Control Meeting.
